Breast Lift (Mastopexy)

Restoring a firmer, higher, more youthful shape.

A breast lift raises and reshapes breasts that have sagged with time, pregnancy, breastfeeding or weight change, repositioning the nipple and tightening the tissue for a firmer, more youthful contour, with or without an implant.

Who it helps

Over time, skin and ligaments stretch and breasts can lose their lift, the nipple may sit lower and the upper breast can look deflated. A breast lift removes excess skin and reshapes the breast tissue to restore a higher, firmer position.

If you also want more fullness, a small implant can be combined with the lift; if your volume is enough, a lift alone is often all that's needed. Dr. Eren advises which suits you.

The procedure

Excess skin is removed and the breast tissue is reshaped and lifted, with the nipple repositioned to a natural height. Incision patterns are chosen to match the degree of lift needed, kept as limited as possible, and placed to heal discreetly around the areola and breast fold.

It is performed under general anaesthesia in an accredited hospital, as a day case or with one overnight stay.

Recovery & results

A supportive bra is worn for several weeks. Most people return to desk work within one to two weeks and to exercise gradually after about six weeks.

The result is an immediately firmer, lifted shape; scars fade over the following year to become discreet, and the contour settles naturally as healing completes.

Common questions

Will I need an implant?

Not necessarily. A lift alone restores shape if you have enough volume; an implant is added only if you also want more fullness.

Can I still breastfeed?

Many women can, as the technique aims to preserve the relevant structures, but it cannot be guaranteed. Discuss your plans with Dr. Eren.
