Facial fat transfer uses your own purified fat to gently restore volume where the face has hollowed, cheeks, under-eyes, temples, for a softer, naturally rejuvenated look that lasts.
Why fat, and where
Faces age partly by losing volume, not just by sagging. Restoring that volume can look more natural than tightening alone. Fat transfer refills areas that have hollowed, mid-cheeks, temples, tear troughs, lips or jawline, using your own tissue, so there is no risk of allergy.
Because it is living tissue, a portion of the transferred fat settles permanently, and the result has a soft, natural quality that fillers can struggle to match.
The procedure
Fat is gently harvested with liposuction from an area such as the abdomen or thighs, purified, and re-injected in fine layers where volume is needed. The harvest doubles as a small contouring benefit at the donor site.
It is performed under local anaesthesia with sedation, or light general anaesthesia, as a day case.
Recovery & results
Swelling and some bruising settle over one to two weeks. Not all transferred fat survives, Dr. Eren accounts for this when planning, and the final, stable result is seen after a few months.
The volume that takes is long-lasting, refreshing the face without an overfilled appearance.
Common questions
Is the result permanent?
The portion of fat that establishes a blood supply stays long-term. A second, smaller session is occasionally used to perfect volume.
Where does the fat come from?
From an area with a little to spare, such as the abdomen or thighs, gently removed by liposuction.
