Liposuction removes stubborn pockets of fat to refine your contour, not a weight-loss tool, but a sculpting one. Dr. Eren uses techniques such as VASER and 360° contouring to shape the body smoothly and proportionately.
What liposuction is, and isn't
Liposuction is a contouring procedure, not a treatment for obesity. It targets localised fat that resists diet and exercise, the flanks, abdomen, back, inner thighs, arms or under the chin, to refine your silhouette.
With 360° contouring, the whole midsection is sculpted in one session for an even, all-round result. VASER technology can help define the contour and ease fat removal in fibrous areas.
The procedure
Through tiny incisions, fine cannulas remove fat in even layers, smoothing the contour. The harvested fat can sometimes be re-purposed, for example, to add volume elsewhere as a fat transfer.
Depending on the extent, it is performed under local anaesthesia with sedation or general anaesthesia, as a day case or with one overnight stay.
Recovery & results
A compression garment is worn for several weeks to support the new shape and reduce swelling. Most people return to desk work within a few days to a week, with exercise reintroduced gradually.
The contour continues to refine over a few months as swelling resolves, and results are long-lasting when weight stays stable, fat removed from an area does not return in the same way.
Common questions
Will the fat come back?
The fat cells removed do not return. Significant weight gain can enlarge remaining cells elsewhere, so a stable weight keeps the result looking its best.
Is liposuction a way to lose weight?
No, it refines shape and contour rather than reducing overall weight. It works best for stubborn, localised areas.
